Webber Woods Preserve

Located in Toledo's Point Place

The 15.3-acre forested property contains a mature forest habitat that represents the only significant wooded acreage remaining in Toledo’s Point Place neighborhood. In the face of urbanization and habitat fragmentation, this expanse of forested land provides a sanctuary for numerous native plants and animal species, offering crucial shelter, food, and breeding grounds that are increasingly scarce in the surrounding urban landscape. Additionally, this property is critical stopover habitat for rare and threatened tropical migratory birds. Positioned within a key migratory corridor, it offers abundant food, safe resting spots, and suitable nesting sites.

Preserving this unique habitat is essential for safeguarding our native species, retaining a critical habitat for migratory birds, and maintaining the ecological balance of the area.
