Join Melanie Coulter, Conservation Manager for Black Swamp Conservancy, on a nature hike at Weisgerber-Pohlmann Nature Preserve. Located along the banks of the Tiffin River, this 75-acre preserve contains more than a mile of the river corridor.
Melanie will highlight the recently completed restoration project which returned a former farm field to natural habitats that serve to support cleaner water and expand wildlife habitat.
Dress for the weather and for unimproved trails. Wear long pants and boots or sturdy shoes (no sandals). Bring a hat, bug spray, sunscreen, and water.
Please note that there is no bathroom facility at this property. The closest gas stations with public restrooms are 8 miles away, so stop on your way to or from the Preserve.
