Previously a private hunt club, Sandusky County Parks acquired Decoy Marsh in 2012. This diked marsh is located on Green Creek just south of Sandusky Bay, and is surrounded by privately owned conservation lands. The preserve features wetlands and diked marshes, and is critical habitat for waterfowl, aquatic mammals, and birds.
From Sandusky County Parks: ” Bordered by privately owned conservation lands and Green Creek this is 67-acre property is an important part of the Lake Erie marshes and is an excellent area for spring birding. This property is for program use only, but is opened during the month of May for spring migration.”
