Bell Woods Nature Preserve

Bell Woods is located next to the Conservancy’s headquarters at 4825 Sugar Ridge Road, Pemberville.

Bell Woods contains 80 acres of old growth woods and is one of the few remnants of the historic Great Black Swamp that retains the land’s natural characteristics. It is known for its spectacular spring wildflower blooms and Great blue heron rookery. In order to protect its sensitive species and habitats, Bell Woods is closed to public access except for guided tours. Check out our events page for upcoming opportunities, or contact the office to arrange a tour for your group.
