Ethan grew up in Colorado before moving to Ohio for college. He has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Antioch College and a master’s degree in Urban Ecology and Sustainable Planning from Unity University in Maine. After pursuing a career in insect-based agricultural research, he decided to switch tracks and instead gain experience in land stewardship and restoration through the Conservancy out of a deep desire to spend more time out in nature while engaging with it in more meaningful ways. He lives in Northwest Ohio with his wife and many pets, and enjoys cooking, woodworking, camping, and designing board games.
