Meet Our Summer Interns: Logan Williams

Next up in our summer intern series is Logan Williams! Logan is currently a student at Ohio University and is spending the summer with us as an AmeriCorps Field Crew intern. He is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife and Conservation Biology.

When he’s not working in the field, Logan is no stranger to the outdoors. He spends his time reading and hiking, as well as collecting rocks, insects, sticks, cans, and bottles that inspire his other hobby — art! When not out exploring, you can find Logan working on digital art pieces and sculptures. If you visit our office, you can see some of his artworks featuring some well-known cryptids on our whiteboards.

Logan is currently working toward his goal of graduating with his bachelor’s degree. From there, he hopes to build a career that allows him to travel and explore while working on wildlife conservation projects. Another longtime goal of his is to combine his passion for art and nature by creating artwork that showcases the beauty of wildlife and supports conservation efforts.

Logan decided to join Black Swamp Conservancy’s summer field crew because he has always been interested in conservation organizations and their work to protect wildlife and their habitats. “I wanted to be part of Black Swamp Conservancy to help make a positive impact while gaining experience in the conservation field.”

Logan has been a delight to have on our field crew this summer, and we look forward to seeing all he accomplishes. Whether it be creating an outdoor sculpture or tending to preserves, we know he will follow his passions, and we wish him all the best in his endeavors.

Thank you for being a part of the team, Logan!
