For Today and Future Generations
Every acre protected, every stream restored, every habitat revived happens because of people like you.
At Black Swamp Conservancy, we work alongside landowners and communities to protect the farms, forests, and waterways that define our region. Your support makes that work possible.
When you give, you’re not just making a donation, you’re helping ensure that the land we rely on today will still be here tomorrow.
Why Your Support Matters
The landscapes of northwest Ohio are working lands — places where agriculture, water, community, and wildlife all intersect. Protecting them takes care, collaboration, and long-term commitment.
Your gift helps us:
- Permanently protect family farms and natural areas
- Restore wetlands and floodplains that improve water quality
- Safeguard wildlife habitat along rivers and migratory routes
- Partner with landowners to steward their land for future generations
Together, we’re building a future where conservation and agriculture work hand in hand.
Sponsorship
Partner with Black Swamp Conservancy to protect the landscapes that make northwest Ohio special. Corporate sponsorships help safeguard forests, wetlands, rivers, and family farms while supporting hands-on education programs that connect students with the natural world. Your organization’s support demonstrates a commitment to environmental stewardship, community wellbeing, and the future of our region.
Let’s work together to protect northwest Ohio.
If your company is interested in supporting land conservation and student learning programs, we’d welcome the conversation. Reach out to Rob Krain at to explore corporate sponsorship opportunities.
Memorial Benches
You know the respite that a bench can provide to the weary traveler. You know the welcomed joy and awe of sitting to watch a beautiful sunset. Memorializing someone with a bench is a gift to countless explorers that will last through the years.
Memorial benches cost $2,500 and include the bench, an affixed plaque and Black Swamp Conservancy’s commitment to install, maintain and repair the bench for the first year.
The bench will remain there for the bench’s lifespan, but The Conservancy is not obligated to maintain its upkeep or replace if somehow it is vandalized after a year’s time.
The bench style will be The Conservancy’s standard bench called the Champion Memorial Bench. The bench is 6 feet long, made of recycled plastic from milk jugs, and it will be cemented into the ground.
If you’re interested in purchasing a Memorial Bench, please provide your contact information below and select a property where you’d like your bench to be installed. Conservancy staff will follow up with you on the particulars within three business days.
Matching Company Program
Many companies have programs that will match charitable contributions made by their employees. Through corporate matching, your employer can multiply your gift to Black Swamp Conservancy and increase the impact of your donation.
Please check with your company’s human resources office to see if they offer gift matching. If your employer does have this program, they should provide you with a matching gift form to send to the Conservancy. Complete the form and mail it to:
