Black Swamp Conservancy is honored to join the Greater Toledo Community Foundation (GTCF) as they celebrate five decades of dedicated service in northwest Ohio!
As the area’s largest philanthropic institution, GTCF is a welcoming and inclusive organization that has made an immeasurable impact by partnering with nonprofits to enrich and build a better community.
GTCF has been a solid partner with Black Swamp Conservancy as we’ve grown over the years while working throughout northwest Ohio to preserve, enhance, and improve natural habitats and family farms for the benefit of current and future generations.
We’re excited to be a part of the year-long calendar of programs and events that GTCF is planning in celebration of its 50th!
Join Black Swamp Conservancy on April 29 at the Homestead for a fun-filled afternoon celebrating GTCF’s 50th. Activities include:
Community paint-by-number mural on the barn
Scheduled hikes through Bell Woods featuring a blanketed forest floor of native spring ephemerals, as well as an active heron rookery
Interactive lawn games for children and their families
Live music
Children’s story trail through Pat & Clint Mauk’s Prairie
Complimentary beverages
Food trucks
Information tables sponsored by community environmental organizations
