The Black Swamp Conservancy is seeking proposals for a design-build restoration project on about 21 acres of a privately owned farm and woods along Toussaint Creek in Ottawa County, Ohio.
The selected Contractor will manage and implement all aspects of the Project (including design, engineering, permits, construction, and planting) to complete the Project scope of services as described in the attached “Schlievert Floodplain Restoration Design-Build Project Request for Proposals.”
Proposals are due January 10, 2025, by 4pm.
We encourage all interested contractors to attend a site visit at 1pm on December 4, 2024. RSVP is required by December 2. This will be the only opportunity to visit the site, as it is owned by a private landowner and not open to the public.
All firms interested in submitting a proposal, being included on the question and response distribution list, and/or attending the site visit should notify Melanie Coulter by email at [email protected].
All questions about the RFP and the Project must be emailed to Melanie Coulter and received by January 2, 2025. On December 9 and January 3, we will distribute all questions received and our responses to all firms that expressed an interest in submitting a proposal.
To be eligible to submit proposals, the Contractor must demonstrate the successful completion of at least 4 engineered design plans for wetland or stream restoration projects, each greater than $200,000 in contract amount, preferably but not mandatorily within the Western Lake Erie Basin.
